Markus is a rabbi, drama & movement therapist, clinical and pastoral supervisor, Playback Theatre and Bibliodrama/Bibliolog trainer and workshop facilitator based in London, England.

Markus holds an MA in Jewish Studies (King’s College London) and an MA in Drama & Movement Therapy (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama).
He also has a diploma in Creative Approaches to Supervision from the London Centre for Psychodrama, a certificate in Playback Theatre Leadership from the Centre for Playback Theater in New Paltz/NY, and has been accredited as trainer for Bibliodrama / Bibliolog by the Bibliolog Netzwerk International.

Markus is a frequent consultant, lecturer and workshop facilitator at hospice services and palliative care training institutions across Germany and Austria.
He also teaches on a wide range of biblical texts, rabbinic sources, and Jewish subjects in educational and interreligious settings. Further, he runs both Playback Theatre and Bibliodrama / Bibliologsessions and training courses.
He co-facilitates with Michael Paterson on the Danish Diploma in Group Supervision.

Alongside his clinical work as a drama & movement therapist and as a healthcare/hospice chaplain, he has been involved in the training of drama therapists at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen (2020-22), of dance movement therapists at Goldsmiths, University of London (2017-19), and of rabbis and cantors at the University of Potsdam (2012-22)
